For the health-conscious, House of Wong offers many steamed dishes that are free of salt, sugars, corn starch and MSG. Affordable lunch specials come with an entree, fried or steamed rice and choice of soup. Meals are available for dine-in or carryout, and delivery is available. Yen Ching

This small, casual Chinese restaurant, located across Brentwood Boulevard from the St. Louis Galleria, offers classic Chinese meals at affordable prices, along with creative dishes such as Hawaii chicken (fried chicken with fruit sauce), spicy crispy beef (deep fried slices of beef in Yen Ching’s special sauce) and chao fen sze (braised imported bean thread served with Chinese vegetables and shredded pork). The restaurant delivers locally, but Sunday delays are common and deliveries may take up to one-and-a-half hours from the time you place your order.

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro

This trendy Chinese bistro, located in The Boulevard outdoor mall across from the St. Louis Galleria, is one of many restaurants in a nationwide chain. In addition to their highly popular chicken lettuce cups, this moody, modern eatery serves regional classics such as Hong Kong beef with snow peas, Canton chicken and mushrooms served over egg noodles and Shanghai shrimp with garlic sauce. P.F. Chang’s also offers many vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, as well as reasonably priced lunch bowls. Diners can enjoy a specially priced four-course meal for two that includes soup, appetizers, entrees and dessert. The full bar features extensive sake and beer lists as well as specialty drinks such as the Chinese 88 martini, organic agave martini and Asian pear mojito.
